Must have 3 years recent experience as a quality control inspector in the sheet metal trade. Must have a full understanding of government specs and naval standards. Must be able to read and interpret naval blueprints. Must be able to perform shipboard layout, installations and removals from blueprints and sketches. Ability to work at heights and confined areas and access and move around the ship safely. Inspects in-process and/or finished production assemblies for conformance to required workmanship standards. Verifies the conformance of assemblies in accordance to drawings, specification or established operating procedures. Validates correct documentation completion. Interfaces with appropriate departments to obtain additional information for testing or inspection of product. Prepares inspection records.
